Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffles

Lately, I’ve had a hankering for chocolate, and since I just bought some chocolate hemp powder, I thought I’d try using it to make some vegan truffles. I have also been on a peanut butter kick lately, so why not throw some of that good stuff in there, too? Oh god… I can’t stop eating them!!

Ingredients

3/4 cup pitted dates

2 tbsp peanut butter

1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup

2 tbsp chocolate hemp powder

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1/4 cup walnuts for rolling

Cocoa powder for rolling

Method

Grind walnuts in a small food chopper and set aside. Add dates to chopper and pulse to chop. Add peanut butter, maple syrup, hemp powder and cocoa powder. Mix until smooth. Shape dough into balls and roll in desired garnish. I rolled a few in walnuts, a few in cocoa powder and left the others plain. Chill and enjoy!

  1. These are awesome. A bit sticky if they don’t have the nuts on them, but so good!

I still enjoy many delicious vegan foods even though I’m more of a flexitarian these days (if we must label me). If you have a chocolate tooth and an aversion to dairy, these are the balls for you: Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffles. […]
