While I am not the gluten-intolerant one of the group (sorry Jen <3), I am interested in gluten free products whenever possible, thanks to William Davis’ Book, Wheat Belly. Silver Hills has always been a favourite bread product of mine, and now they have two different gluten free options to explore: Gluten Chia Chia Bread and Gluten Free Omega Flax Bread.
What I like about it:
It has 5 grams of fibre per slice, 3 grams of protein, Omega 3 & 6, and is organic and non-gmo. It has the hearty, wholegrain flavour of the other Silver Hills products, and isn’t mealy or crumbly. AND, they’re local!
My only critique, and this goes for most gluten free breads…why are they such tiny loaves? I can hardly fit my steamed spinach on these miniature slices!
