We had an incredible four course meal last night, courtesy of Chef Marika at Birds Nest Dining, and Social Bites CEO Annika Reinhardt, who organized all us former vegan hobby chefs. Malloreigh and Kaylie from Vegan Mischief, Jessica, Annika, Zilya, Mac, and myself (Bridget), were all in attendance for this glorious vegan dinner extravaganza!

All courses came out at once on a lovely circular platter, placed in front of each guest. The food was enjoyed by all, so much so, that we indulged in seconds with the encouragement of Chef Marika who told us, “I want you to all leave full.”
Birds Nest Dining is ‘…an underground restaurant nestled in a Vancouver home…’, serving up vegetarian fare for brunch on most Saturdays and Sundays, and a Meatless Monday dinner once a month. Chef Marika will do a private vegan dinner for 8 or more, and will accommodate vegan requests during her weekend brunches, with enough notice. The dining room is ADORABLE and the experience an absolute must-try for any vegan foodie.
The Vegan Project just found their new favourite restaurant and will definitely be back!
