Founder/Recipe Creator/Cruelty-free Make-up Artist
Bridget Burns is the founding member of The Vegan Project, and the passionate recipe designer behind many of the VP’s signature dishes. She loves a good challenge, like veganizing a family pie crust recipe and inventing the perfect food: the lasagna sandwich. Some lesser-known facts about Bridget: she’s an only child with a crippling fear of rats and she can’t drive (way harsh), but regardless, her friends keep her around if only for her ability to fix great drinks and ensure the group survives on more than Sam’s juice pulp nut loaves. While many envy her amazing abilities in the kitchen and behind the bar, Bridget confesses that she wishes she had Zoe’s eyelashes. If she could have three wishes (aside from ending all animal suffering of course) they would be: to meet vegan hero Alicia Silverstone and for people to stop pronouncing it ‘vay-gan’.
Marketing and Production
I have been a Vegan at Heart all my life. When I was a year and a half old, my mother found it important to document that I did not care for “Meat” at all. When I was 4, I was quite certain I was going to be a Veterinarian. I’ve always had a major soft spot for animals of all shapes and varieties. Speaking for all animals along with delicious Vegan food are two of my biggest passions in life, so when I met Bridget and Zoe, I just knew I had to be a part of their wonderful project. I am an Esthetician and own Synergy Day Spa on Vancouver Island, where we use only cruelty free vegan products. To me, Veganism touches every area of my life. Food, products, clothing, accessories, everything! I LOVE getting creative in the kitchen, getting dressed up and going out for a delicious meal, and sharing my experiences with the people in my life! I am thrilled and honoured to be a part of The Vegan Project, bringing you 14 years of experience as a Vegan, animal lover and a person who cares about the planet.
